Education Sponsorship
We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to live a descent and meaningful life and there is nothing that changes life than providing education to children/youth in struggling situations. We provide education sponsorship at both primary and secondary levels to the most needy children and youth in Namasagali sub-county one of the areas worst affected by the problem of child marriages in Uganda.
Skills Development
We believe skilling is one of the best interventions to secure a good future for children and youth living under struggling situations. A needy youth who is equipped with skills in tailoring, carpentry, brick laying and other skills that suit a rural setting will transform his/her life, that of his/her siblings and the rest of the family members.
Community Awareness
In rural Africa the progress of children in life is sometimes held back by the beliefs of society and the cruel actions undertaken by parents in their homes. In order for the rural child to get the best out of life we believe it is necessary for communities to combine efforts to address community challenges like Gender Based Violence (GBV), domestic violence, child marriages and child labour all of which affect children. Once the community is sensitized on the dangers of these evils and mobilized to fight them then a good future for children and youth is guaranteed.
Community Economic Empowerment
In order to secure the future of the rural child it is necessary to support the community where they live to attain economic empowerment. We work with organized women groups. Why women? In most rural areas of Uganda a big percentage of men have abandoned their responsibilities of educating children to women. A rural women will also tie any money she gets on a piece of cloth (kikondolo) and keep it for school fees, buying uniform, books and other requirements for the children. Therefore empowering a rural woman is indirectly a means of catering for the education of children.

Hope For The Rural Child Foundation
Hope for the Rural Child Foundation is a Community Based Organization (CBO) registered with Namasagali sub-county Local Government in Kamuli District in Uganda under Reg. No NSC/200/2021. It was established in 2018 and operates in Namasagali sub-county in Kamuli district in Uganda.Hope for the Rural Child Foundation supports the education of orphaned and other vulnerable children and youth in Namasagali sub-county, initiates other life changing opportunities for the disadvantaged children and youth and also undertakes interventions to support the development of the local community where the vulnerable children and youth live.
Our target beneficiaries are orphans and other disadvantaged children and youth, child mothers, school dropouts, school going children and youth, community schools and the local community.At Hope for the Rural Child Foundation we believe that the best interventions that transform the lives of needy children and youth are those that address the challenges faced by these children and youth, the schools they go to and the communities where they live. This is why we chose the needy children and youth, the schools and the local community as our focus

Naudho Shakira
BeneficiaryI live in Kasozi in Namasagali Sub County with both my parents. I’m 15 years old. I sat for my Primary Leaving Examinations at Starlight Primary School in Kamuli Municipality and passed in Division I with 12 aggregates. Hope for the Rural Child Foundation gave me a half bursary and am now a boarding student at Namasagali Integrated Secondary School. Am in Senior I and am the Deputy Head Girl. I have committed myself to study hard and become a social worker. I pray that Hope for the Rural Child Foundation stays longer to support needy children to get education
